Do I need an appointment?
- No. This is a walk-in shop — come in during open hours and take the next chair. Customers describe the wait as five to ten minutes, and often none at all.
How much is a haircut?
- A men's haircut is $15. It's the same price on a Tuesday morning as it is on a Saturday afternoon — no weekend surcharge and no upsell at the register. Fades, kids' cuts, senior cuts, beard trims, shaves and buzz cuts are $15 too. (Some older reviews still mention $10 — that was the price for a long time. $15 is current.)
How long will it take?
- Most cuts are done in about fifteen minutes, and a buzz cut is quicker than that. John works fast, which is exactly why a haircut here costs what it does.
What are your hours?
- Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm. Saturday opens an hour earlier than the rest of the week.
When is the shop least busy?
- Weekday mornings right after 10am are the quietest. Saturdays are the busiest day, so come early — the shop opens at 9am.
Do you cut kids' hair?
- Yes, and a lot of it. Plenty of our customers had their very first haircut in this chair. If your child is nervous or sensitive to the clippers, say so when you walk in and John will slow down.
Do you do fades?
- Yes — low, mid, high, skin and tapers. Bring a photo of the fade you want and know the guard number you'd like on the sides, and you'll get exactly what you came for.
Can you cut thick or coarse hair?
- Yes. One customer specifically noted in his review that John is “good at cutting coarse Asian and Mexican hair” — which is not something every barber can honestly claim.
I'm growing my hair out — can I get a trim without losing the length?
- Yes, and it's important that you say so before he starts. Ask for a trim and clean-up only, with scissors rather than clippers, and name the length you want to keep. John is fast, so tell him what you want first and he'll do exactly that.
Is there parking, and is the shop accessible?
- There's free parking directly in front of the shop, and the entrance, parking lot and restroom are all wheelchair accessible.
